We have added a new feature to the paid versions of CRM-FREE, the ability to post forms on your web site directly into your database. With a few easy changes to the forms they can create new contacts in your account. Easily map standard fields in the system as well as other fields into notes. You can even receive an email alerting you a form was filled out and including all the data they submitted in a format you select.

Also we updated process for sending emails into CRM-FREE to now accept attachments. The files attached will be linked in the contact or projects record as well as on the Email tab viewable from each individual email.

We have lots of new features and updates coming in the next few months and always appreciate any comments on new ideas and requests.

      Upgrades to CRM-FREE

On Friday January 1st we will be upgrading CRM-FREE. This will include a new look to both the contact and project pages and include new options on each page. There will be a number of video tutorials added to help display current and new features which will be available from the Help tab.       Controlling who can see a contact

With a paid account to CRM-FREE you can have multiple users in the database, but what if you want to control what a user can see? It's easy, just set that user to view only contacts assigned to them when you add them as a user. Then from each contact or project you can assign which users can view the information.

What if you have a large number of users and need to have an entire department or team see a contact? Rather than assign each user individually you can create User Groups so everyone in sales can be assigned to the User Group- sales team. Then just assign that group in the contact record and now they all can access the contact. If a user changes from sales to support or another department, you can easily change their access to all the contacts and projects just by going to their user record and switching them from the sales group to the support group!

Controlling security and access to data is a key part of any CRM database. Allowing administrators to view everything in the database and control what each user can see and do is vital.       Email Integration in CRM-FREE

We are pleased to announce a new feature in CRM-FREE, the ability to send emails into your CRM-FREE account. All paid users now have their own CRM-FREE email account which can be used to send emails to create new contacts, add a note to an existing contact or project, add a calendar item to an existing contact, project or a personal item, bcc an email you are sending to a contact to keep a record in CRM-FREE or to forward an email you received into CRM-FREE to keep that in the contact's record.

Now all data can be kept in one place and you have more options to quickly get data into your CRM-FREE account. If you are not logged in you can quickly and easily send an email into your account so that you don't forget to make a note of something or to add a new contact and their phone number.

We have also added email templates. From the Settings tab you can now add a template for emails you send frequently. These templates can merge contact data and when you send them from a contact's record it automatically adds your CRM-FREE email address as the bcc address to keep a copy of the email in their record for you.

      Update to CRM - FREE

Today we have updated CRM-FREE with some behind the scenes improvements and new features. We have added new searching options for your contacts to help find people you are looking for and added a new field for their website which had become a common request. When searching we also added an option to search for contacts that have not been accessed or updated in any number of days you select. You can combine this with other fields when searching such as status for salesman to find people who are interested but haven't been contacted in the last 14 days. From the search results we have added the options at the top of the page to export that result to a csv and to have all the email addresses sent to the bcc field of your email program so you can send an email to everyone in the search result. This places your email address in the to field and hides everyone else when sent. As always we appreciate our users ideas and requests to improve CRM-FREE, we hope you enjoy the new features.

Projects at work or at home, keeping them straight sometimes is too much work itself. CRM FREE provides you with project tracking to keep you organized on everything you should be doing and when. Enter each project and add notes on what needs to be done or already has been. All notes are kept chronologically so you can quickly review where you are at. Also enter items on your calendar for activities and meetings regarding each project. Then from each project you can quickly review everything. You also have the ability to set if others can view each project or not.

Great for business, set up each item at work and assign the project to the employees working on the tasks. Managers and owners have overview of all projects and can monitor to make sure everything is on pace to be completed on time. A client or group of clients can also be assigned to projects so you can quickly review past work you have done for them and forecast future needs or spot a potential problem before it arises. You can also upload files to be shared by those working on the project. The best source of new business is your current clients. You have already built a relationship with them, now you need to make sure you maintain it. The first step is to understand your clients. Just as different marketing ideas worked to bring in different people, you can't lump all clients together now. If you can see each client as an individual and provide them with just what they need you will keep them happier and ensure they become repeat customers. Make sure to keep important dates and entries on your calendar for when to contact them in the future. Always stay on top of your calendar, most people really will appreciate the effort and prefer to do business with people who really care about them.

There are many options to organizing your data, including free options, so don't think you can't do it. You must. The best way to make sure your business grows is to take care of the clients you already have. Hard work and attention to detail still will succeed.
